What is title deed?

A title deed is a document for registered properties in Singapore that exhaustively records all transactions regarding each parcel of property. It is an important document that contains:

• A description of the property;
• The nature of the estate (freehold or leasehold)
• Details about interests or encumbrances (e.g. mortgages) of the property; and
• The owner of the property (therefore proving ownership of the property as well).

How to view your title deed?

If you own an HDB flat (whose title records have been digitised), you will be able to view your title deed free of charge online at MyProperty by SLA. 

Don't panic if the properties you own are not displayed.
​It could be due to any one of the following reasons: 

1. The title record of your HDB property has yet to be digitised; or
2. There is no caveat lodged by you as a Purchaser for the private property or HDB flat that you have bought; or
3. Your identification number in our records differs from the NRIC/FIN number (SingPass) or UEN (CorpPass) used at the time of login; or
4. The property is bought on trust and you are only the beneficiary and not the trustee.

How to contact HDB to request my title deed?

Generally, if your loan is with HDB, the deed will be safe kept with HDB unless you request for it to be issued out to you. If your loan is with the Bank, you need to check with the Bank on how to request your title deed.
