I manage to collect the Commemorative LKY 100 Coin
at Maybank Waterway Point (Punggol)
together with my spouse.
Those who have previously applied for LKY100 coins
but have not yet received them,
please do so at a designated bank branch by December 3rd.
The LKY100 gold coin is made of aluminum bronze
and measures 30mm in diameter,
about 22% larger than the Third Series S$1 coin
currently in circulation.
There are some good news for those who
have not collected the coin yet.
The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) announced
on Wednesday (Nov 22) that the general public
can exchange LKY100 coins by
visiting 142 branches of participating banks from December 04-31.
Anyone who was unable to register online previously or who wants more LKY100 coins can come to exchange during this period.
Over 700,000 coins are available.
Members of the public must bring their
NRIC, passport or work visa for the exchange.
MAS said there is no limit to the number of coins
that can be exchanged,
depending on the availability of funds at each bank branch.
