Cobra Kai On Netflix

Cobra Kai is an American martial arts comedy-drama television series and a sequel to the original The Karate Kid films. Watch the video below for a quick recap on the Karate Kid. If you missed it and have not watch, I suggest you to rent from YouTube. Renting is cheaper. 

I've managed to watch all the five seasons of Cobra Kai on Netflix. It is highly recommended to watch the TV Series if you're a fan to Karate Kid or martial arts. The fifth season was released on 9 September 2022 and yesterday, i managed to watch all the ten episodes of season 5 in one day. 

​It has been 34 years since Johnny Lawrence lost to Daniel LaRusso in the 1984 All-Valley Karate Tournament, and he still works part-time as a handyman and resides in a Reseda apartment. After being traumatized by Kreese's assault (from The Karate Kid Part II), he suffered from depression and alcoholism, and fell far from the wealthy lifestyle in Encino where he grew up.

​Robby, his estranged son from a previous relationship, has been abandoned by him. After losing his job due to an argument with one of his clients, a down-and-out Johnny uses Karate to defend his new teenage neighbor Miguel Diaz from a group of bullies.

Johnny agrees to teach Miguel karate and reopens the Cobra Kai karate dojo to relive his past, but this act reawakens his rivalry with Daniel, a two-time All Valley champion (in 1984 and 1985) and currently owner of a successful car dealership chain. Daniel is married to Amanda, and has two children: Samantha and Anthony.​

​Daniel's struggle to connect meaningfully with his children after the death of his mentor and friend Mr. Miyagi has disrupted his life's balance.

As Johnny's dojo draws bullied social outcasts who find camaraderie and self-confidence under his tutelage, this is a marked contrast to the type of students he and his friends were at the original Cobra Kai. Miguel and Johnny develop a bond in a similar manner to Daniel and Mr. Miyagi.

Kreese returns to Cobra Kai, whose efforts begin to interfere with Johnny's attempts to reform the dojo. Meanwhile, Daniel reopens the Miyagi-Do dojo in response to Cobra Kai's success, sparking a massive rivalry between the two dojos. At the end of season two, Johnny was kicked out of the Cobra Kai dojo by Kreese, seeking to put an end to it alongside Daniel. 

In third and fourth seasons, it gets even more complicated when Kreese brings in Terry Silver, his old partner from The Karate Kid Part III, who turns out to be more dangerous and insidious than Kreese.

​In the fifth season, Daniel and Johnny continue their fight to take down Silver with the help of Chozen Toguchi from The Karate Kid Part II, Daniel's former rival. ​As Daniel and Johnny's inability to let go of the past exacerbates these conflicts, they become the driving force behind the story's development.

Highly recommended for you guys to watch. I assumed there might be season 6 as Kreese is out of jail if you watch season 5. There has been no official announcement yet regarding the season 6 Cobra Kai. I am looking forward for their new season.
